EA Play 2021

Today was EA Play, an event where game publisher EA shows off their newest games to the public, although this years selection is pretty slim. During EA Play it was again announced that EA had acquired Codemasters, who are leading game developers in the racing genre of games, at the same time they announced Codemasters new game Grid Legends, a racing game in the Grid series of games. A lore trailer and gameplay reveal where released for a new character in Apex legends. A new trailer was released for a previously announced title Lost in Random, which won an award at the Tribeca film festival. A new seasons worth of content was revealed for Knockout City.

And finally get to the big reveals of EA Play, First there is more information about Battlefield 2042. A new game mode called Battlefield Portal was revealed, which brings content from 3 previous Battlefield titles to 2042 (Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 1942) this being guns, cars, tanks, planes, armies, skins, maps, and so forth. The player will be able to customize the game rules however he pleases. think Halo's Forge on steroids, unlocking a near infinite potential for content with more material planned to be added after the game is released. This is the second game mode revealed for Battlefield 2042 and its already lining up to have more content than any of the previous games. We still have one more game mode being kept under wraps which will likely be revealed next month, leaks and rumors point towards the game mode being similar to Hunt: Showdown or Escape from Tarkov, either of which excites me immensely.

The second major reveal of EA Play is that Dead Space is back, it is being completely remade on the latest generation of the Frostbite Engine so stunning visuals are expected and since it is a remake we can feel confident in the final quality of the game.

They also are running some giveaways, so if you are reading this within 14 hours of this blog being posted you can enter for a chance to win with code ITSBACK.
