Women in Tech Summit

Women in tech will always make the news. This blog post will be focusing on another way to help your career as a woman in tech! There are organizations out there to help and this is just one of many! Hear about all the great opportunities out there and continue reading!

The Women in Tech Summit turns 11 this year in December. While they have made many accomplishments in the tech world, they are not done yet! Covid-19 put a halt to many conventions and organizations. WITS took this and adapted to the world around them. As they've been around for a long time now, they've had time to organize their thoughts and adapt quickly. The conference this year in 2021 is going virtual! 

The Women in Tech Summit has a sign-up form for those who want to talk at the convention. 

"We are looking for volunteers to deliver a solo talk, participate on a panel or lead a workshop that falls into one of the following agenda tracks: Trends in Technology Track, Hands-on Workshops, and Innovate Yourself Track." The trends track allows audience members to learn more about a specific topic in tech that you or someone you know may be more interested in! The workshops allow the audience members to get a practical understanding of the hands-on work needed in the tech industry. The innovation track allows people to learn about how individuals got over different difficulties in the industry. It's encouraged to go and sign up to speak if you fit in any of these three routes that the convention is looking to hear about/from.

Many companies sponsor WITS. These include but are not limited to AWS, Comcast, Cisco, WiseHer, etc. 

This virtual transition has not halted their sponsors from continuing along with them. They even have an area on their website on how to ask your boss to attend this event!
