There is rumor that in 2022 new graphics cards will be released that are stronger versions of the rtx 30 series. This will lead to more competition for those cards as people seek out stronger cards. The limit on crypto mining will help consumers get their hands on these cards rather than the crypto miners. Crypto miners have been making graphics cards almost unobtainable. Hopefully limiting the hash rate and allowing more cards to be produced will help this issue.
