On May 31st during Computex 2021 NVidia published an executive keynote where they talked about what they are doing within the gaming sphere. It is clear that NVidia cares deeply about the gaming market since 30 minutes of their hour long keynote where devoted entirely to gaming, but what did they talk about during those 30 minutes? They announced many new gaming titles where they are adding DLSS and titles where they are adding NVidia Reflex. Most importantly they announced their new flagship graphics card, the 3080 Ti.
For those who do not know what NVidia's DLSS is, it is an AI algorithm which process's an image at a 4th of then intended resolution and then the AI upscales the image to the targeted resolution creating an image that's just as good as the originals but massively increasing the games frames per second.
Listed below are the new gaming titles receiving DLSS:
- Dying: 1983 (Horror Game)
- Rainbow 6: Siege (Competitive Shooter Game)
- Icarus (Survival Game)
- Read Dead Redemption 2 (Open World Game)
- Doom Eternal (Shooter Game)
- No Mans Sky (Open World Sandbox Game)
- Wrench (Mechanic Simulation Game)
- Into the Radius (Survival Shooter Game)
As for Nvidia Reflex it is essentially a program that runs within the graphics card to reduce latency for game inputs. (Latency meaning the time between user input and the displays output). Competitive games with NVidia Reflex see lower latency on their mouse inputs, leading to more shots on target.
The games below are the new titles receiving NVidia Reflex:
- War Thunder (Air, Land, and Sea Warfare Game)
- Naraka Bladepoint (Battle Royal Game)
- Crossfire HD (Competitive Shooter Game)
- Escape From Tarkov (Hardcore Survival Shooter Game)
The new graphics card being released by NVidia, the 3080 Ti, is the most powerful card within the 30 series of graphics cards released by NVidia and has been has been available for sale since June 3rd for $1199. Along side this release the less powerful 3070 Ti was announced. It will be available for $599 on June 10th.
