Interactive After-School Platforms Allow Students to Learn With Ease

Lyricos Learning LLC, a Houston-based education company, launched a video streaming platform that allows after-school providers, which includes public schools, private schools, as well as homeschooling programs provide k-6 enrichment programs. STEAM On Demand, the name of the program, allows not only STEAM courses, but also social and emotional learning, entrepreneurship, and more.

Cynthia Tusan, the founder of Lyricos Learning and creator of the STEAM On Demand, holds a passion for investing and designing interactive video streaming concepts like STEAM On Demand, as she wants every child to be able to use STEAM On Demand for their after school learning. We are democratizing access to the diversity of skills needed to be leaders and innovators,” said Tusan when explaining her passion for this program.

STEAM On Demand offers a scalable model and an interactive platform that allows class facilitators and their students to interact while learning the concept. This program does not require any specific teaching experience for people who want to be class facilitators, all they need is knowledge of the subject they want to teach because the interactive videos provide the explanation of elevated concepts while leading the facilitator and students together through discussions, activities, and quizzes. This allows the class facilitator to translate their lesson as interactive materials that their students can easily understand, which can make lessons easier to deliver and more fun to absorb.

STEAM On Demand is currently being deployed at two public after-school systems, one in California and the other at Maryland. A Texan after-school provider is using this platform for their summer program after a series of focus groups.
